In 2021 I was asked to design and develop virtual reality glasses for the Old Dutch Waterline foundation. These VR glasses also had to function as landmarks along the historical walk and bike routes showing unique cultural water heritage with fortified towns, mills and pumping stations, bridges, locks and flood defenses.
With the ECCE VR visitors of the bike and walking routes can insert their phone in the landmark and see how their environment had looked in the past. The product transcended its first commission, and is now sold by ECCE virtual reality. Multiple devices are placed in the Netherlands for the municipalities of Alkmaar, Woerden, Nieuwkoop, Schoonhoven and Grave.
